SOLARES DE PORTUGAL NEW BOOK – THE ART OF GOOD LIVING

Solares de Portugal is an international symbol of our rich culture, they exemplify the art of living, and they provide an opportunity to travel throughout our country, experience our deepest roots and traditions and enjoy the hospitality and warm welcome that characterizes all of our family houses. Patrimony and well-being are an important part of Portuguese culture and motivated our nation’s spirit of challenge and discovery hence our pleasant homes provide an appropriate starting point for many fascinating journeys. Each of these family houses has its own special character, history and specifications that have changed little over the course of time and this stability and durability are the predominant themes of this book beautifully illustrated with photographs by António Homem Cardoso, Portugal’s leading photographer, with accompanying text by Teresa Carvalho.

SOLARES DE PORTUGAL WITH A NEW ROAD MAP

Solares de Portugal has a new road map with pictures of all members, with information of each and the easiest away to arrive there. This new brochure has a complete map with the roads of Portugal, as well as the locations of all the houses, with GPS coordinates, and the distances between the Portuguese cities. This new map is in five languages: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and German, and has all the essential information. It is also an important support for journeys and trips in Portugal, because it is the most recent map of the Portuguese roads.

EUROPE OF TRADITIONS – EUROTRAD

Following the Eurotrad - Europe of Traditions project, a bridge between Euroregions - a new brochure of Europe of Traditions and website www.europetraditions.eu was announced.

The brochure features all of the houses associated with TURIHAB and the Associations created (In Spain the association of Casas Grandes de Espania, in Italy, the association of Casa Della Tradizione, in Austria, the association of Tradition Österreich, in Slovenia, the association Hiše s Tradicijo and in Hungary, the association Magyar Vendégváró Ódon Házak Egyesület – Houses of Traditions) under this project in Austria, Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Hungary. It offers a complete guide in English with comprehensive information on the houses and owners from each association that forms part of project the Europe of traditions a bridge between euroregions.
